EVR did not start create a social reform group nor did he create a group that really had common sense. All he established was a cult positioning himself as the Cult leader with his die hard cultist members defending him.
They speak of rational sense. Question anything that he said even with evidence, you'll be attacked. That's how hardcore they can be.
Do not engage with anyone who says that they are EVRites. I repeat, Do not engage!
You will lose all your sanity and get triggered and they will bring the inner animal within you. All they do is attack. They honestly do not have any kind of solutions to any issues.

They are just hateful people filled with insecurity at their core. They mask it as common sense. These people would often like to ignite things. Just like any other cult they would also like to recruit you as a cult member.
They lack the proper brain cells to think rationally and give credit to their cult leader. They're trained that way!
And if they sense any kind of resistance you will be targeted. And will definitly be bullied.
Characteristics of Cult:

Let's go through the cult checklist and draw parallels to this group.
Charismatic Leader
Centered around a charismatic leader who is portrayed as uniquely wise, powerful, or divinely inspired, to whom members display zealous, unquestioning devotion.
As an Anti-EVR I do not find any charm on that man. But I guess within the cult, they do see him as the God. So this definitely checks out. They still defend him beyond his grave.
Us vs Them Mentality
Cults create an "us versus them" mentality, portraying the outside world and non-members as inherently bad, dangerous, or unenlightened, leading to member isolation.
EVR vs Hinduism & Brahminism
We have already created a villian in this system. Hinduism & Brahmins. So as a cult member it's their responsibility to fight this evil thing. So it's always EVR'ites vs Hinduism.
Psychological Manipulation and Control
Cults use mind-numbing techniques, such as chanting, to suppress critical thinking. They also control members' behaviors, thoughts, and feelings.
According to this cult "Common sense", "Progress" & "Social Reform". These are the things that nobody on the planets posses and EVR only has this quality. But rarely he has exhibited all this trait.
These people do not posses the ability to think for themselves or for the greater good and let themselves get emotionally manipulated into their so-called "ideologies". All they are given were psychological weapons to attack the general public for their belief system.
Say them you're a God-believer, you will get attacked.
They try to establish control by spewing nonsense like
"Periyaar was the reason that Dalits got their freedom".
"Periyaar is the reason that a woman can walk freely on the road"
"Periyaar is the reason that a woman is getting educated"
"Periyaar is the one who opened everyone's third eye"
These are some of their default chants. They say this things to everyone on a daily basis. If somebody says this, generally people don't know the history. So people mostly do not have a comeback for any of this and they go silent. And this is a win for these people. Now they have gotten a upper hand.
These are some of the techniques of them trying to attempt control over any situation. Because that's what they are taught.
Extreme Beliefs and Ideology
Cults typically promote simplistic, dogmatic, and often extreme beliefs, promoting a worldview that is resistant to outside information and heavily relies on conspiracy theories.
They do believe in genocide of Brahmins which is an extreme ideology. They are afraid to act on it. So all they do is psychologically attack the community.
They already have 'n' number of conspiracy theories surrounding Brahministic rituals bashing the Vedas, the God's slogams (Kandha sashti kavacham),Tamil language, Tamil literature, Tamil people.
Excessive Control and Exploitation
Leaders dictate members' daily lives, fostering intense dependency. This control is often comes with the suppression of members' well-being.
I mean atcual EVR is not alive, but his devotees still take the part and promote this to his hierarchy and the members below.
Conclusion
He plants the seeds of hatred within the cult members and it grows and tries to destroy the fabric of Tamil society.
Excessive control within the cult, results in the explotation of the mass outside the cult.
